Some manufacture key parts of the UK’s Trident nuclear weapons system.
BAE Systems are building new nuclear-armed submarines at Barrow shipyard.
Rolls-Royce are building nuclear reactors in Derby to power the submarines.
Lockheed Martin are supplying the Trident D5 missiles to carry the warheads.

In conjunction with Merseyside Pensioners’ Association, we recently held a very successful meeting where we screened ‘The Plan’, a documentary about the Lucas Aerospace workers who devised a way to move production towards ‘socially useful products’ and away from arms manufacturing.
