Merseyside C.N.D. will be joining Pax Christi this coming Thursday to leaflet and protest Liverpool University’s continuing involvement in the research and development of military drones. This technology, the use of which has increased dramatically in recent years, is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people.

This year’s John Hamilton Memorial Peace Lecture, on the subject of militarism in schools, will be delivered by Birbeck, University of London Professor of History Joanna Bourke.
Author of Wounding the World, which has been described by The Observer as essential reading, Professor Bourke is a prolific writer and thinker on socialist, feminist and anti-war issues.

Non-violent direct action training with Seeds for Change

Seeds For Change, a grassroots Cooperative who specialise in providing support and training to activists, campaigners, community groups and co-operatives will be running this two hour workshop on non-violent direct action. It will be accessible for any levels of experience and cover a basic introduction to NVDA, effective and safe blockading, brainstorming sessions and more.
The group will be serving food before the workshop from 6pm to raise money for Migrant Artists Mutual Aid, a group who raise money for refugees within Liverpool. Please come along and use this as an opportunity to become more connected with other campaign groups within the city and share what action you have planned over the coming months. The NVDA workshop will be held between from 6.45pm to 9pm.
