Join Merseyside CND 10.45-11.15am in The Peace Garden, St. John’s Garden,

behind St. George’s Hall, Liverpool. A minute’s silence will be observed at 11am and

wreath of white poppies laid with music and short statements.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Remembered

Monday August 6th on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima.                                           11am The Peace Garden,  St. John’s Garden, Liverpool.  The Lord Mayor, Cllr. Sharon Sullivan, will lay a wreath in memory of all victims of  war and nuclear attack.  Introductions by Gerry Poole.  Music by Neville Grundy.

Thursday August 9th on the anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki.  7.30pm Film showing in The Basement at Next to Nowhere, 96 Bold St. Liverpool: “Days that shook the world”  followed by refreshments and discussion.

Peace and Ecology Festival on Saturday July 21st 12 noon – 6pm

St. Bride’s Church, corner Catharine St. and Percy St. Liverpool L8 

Bus routes from Charlotte St and Elliot St: 86, 80, 74 and 75

Free festival with music, dance, poetry, campaigning and charity stalls, crafts, children’s activities, Food From Nowhere vegan and veggie food cafe. Disabled access. Fun for all.
