Interview with Liverpool Against the Arms Fair Activist, Greg Dropkin

Protests were held outside the ACC Convention Centre in Liverpool in October 2021 over the holding of an international weapons tech arms Expo there, Michael spoke to Greg Dropkin a campaigner against the event who tells us what this tech involves, who the companies are, and what harm & collateral damage has been caused in parts of the world by it and how the police tried to crack down on the protests.

Liverpool Pax Christi Vigil

Our friends and allies at Liverpool Pax Christi recently held a vigil outside the Anglican Cathedral in support of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The TPNW is the first international legislation specifically outlawing nuclear weapons and we urge all our members and supporters to contact their MPs and local councillors asking them to support it. Hiroshima & Nagasaki Day

Today we remembered the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 76 years after the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan. We were joined by Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr. Mary Rasmussen, who laid a wreath in memory of all those who lost their lives.

The only way to ensure that the catastrophe of Hiroshima and Nagasaki never happens again is by abolishing nuclear weapons and we urge all our members and supporters to contact their MPs and Councillors, asking them to support the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
