Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day 2018
10:45, Monday 6th August
St. John’s Gardens, Liverpool
Everyone is welcome to join us in remembering over 130,000 people who were killed by the atomic bombs dropped on Japan in August 1945. The event will be attended by Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Christine Banks and her junior Lord Mayors, who’ll lay a wreath in memory of the victims. There will be speeches, poetry, music and you can also learn to make peace cranes which are going to be sent to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
