On 27th February Merseyside C.N.D. joined 60,000 activists from across the country, and even some from overseas, in London at the largest anti-nuclear protest for a generation. Images from the event, taken by John Usher, are below.
On 22nd March members of Merseyside CND joined peace activists at Liverpool Friends’ Meeting House to discuss the bombing of Syria and how we can rebuild the anti-war movement in Liverpool. Addressing the meeting were John Rees, a Co-Founder of the Stop the War Coalition; Firat Cengiz, Professor of Law at Liverpool University; and Dave Hookes from Scientists for Global Responsibility.

On 16th February we held a meeting with CND Vice President Bruce Kent, Chris Nineham from the Stop the War Coalition, Liverpool Councillor, Tom Crone of the Green Party and Kim Bryan from the Socialist Labour Party in the run up to the national Stop Trident demonstration later than month.
