As part of the Global Day of Action on Military Spending, on Monday 18th April there will be three events across Liverpool city centre:
- With the British Parliament set to vote later this year on whether to spend £100 billion on a new generation of nuclear weapons, Merseyside Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament will be holding a Stop Trident stall and leafleting session outside the Lyceum Building at the bottom of Bold St.
- Liverpool Quakers will be leafleting against the arms trade and military expenditure outside the Meeting House on School Lane.
- Finally, Martyn Lowe from War Resisters International will also be leafleting against the arms trade outside the Armed Forces Careers Office on North John St.
